The Grant Accountant is responsible for managing the financial administration, compliance, and reporting activities associated with federal, state, local, and privately funded grants. This position ensures grant funds are accurately tracked, reconciled, and reported in accordance with funding requirements, applicable regulations, and organizational policies. The role supports grant budgeting, financial reporting, audit preparation, and collaboration with internal stakeholders to promote effective stewardship of grant resources.Minimum Education & Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field required.
- Minimum of three years of accounting experience required.
- Experience with grant accounting, grant administration, or nonprofit/government-funded financial management required.
- Experience preparing grant reports, managing budgets, and supporting compliance activities.
- Experience with grant reimbursement requests, fund drawdowns, and financial reconciliations.
- Experience with general ledger accounting, account reconciliations, and journal entries.
- Experience supporting audits, including grant compliance audits or Single Audits, preferred.
- Experience supporting IRS Form 990 preparation preferred.
