We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Staff Accountant to join our growing team. This position is responsible for supporting the day-to-day accounting functions of the organization, including general ledger maintenance, account reconciliations, month-end close activities, and financial reporting. The ideal candidate is organized, analytical, and able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

Prepare and post journal entries and maintain the general ledger. Reconcile bank accounts, balance sheet accounts, and other financial records. Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes. Support accounts payable and accounts receivable activities as needed. Prepare financial reports and analyze accounting data for accuracy. Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis. Maintain fixed asset records and depreciation schedules. Ensure compliance with accounting policies and internal controls. Support external audits and provide requested documentation. Identify process improvement opportunities and assist with special projects.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. 2+ years of accounting experience preferred. Strong understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP). Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, including formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis. Experience working with accounting or ERP software. Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. Strong communication and problem-solving abilities. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications:

Public accounting experience. Experience with month-end close and financial statement preparation. Advanced Excel skills. CPA or CPA-track candidates encouraged to apply.
