Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Manage accounts payable transactions and help ensure invoices are reviewed, coded, and processed accurately and on time.
- Record journal entries and maintain organized supporting documentation for routine accounting activity.
- Perform cash-related accounting tasks, including tracking receipts and assisting with daily or periodic cash balancing.
- Reconcile bank accounts and other balance sheet accounts, researching discrepancies and resolving variances promptly.
- Support general ledger maintenance by reviewing financial data for completeness and accuracy.
- Assist with corporate tax and sales tax activities, including preparing information needed for filings and internal review.
- Contribute to month-end accounting work by organizing schedules, updating records, and helping close out assigned accounts.
- Use Excel to analyze financial information, prepare reconciliations, and create clear accounting support files.
- Work within accounting systems such as Oracle JDE when applicable to complete assigned financial processing tasks.
