Temporary Accounts Payable Specialist (Temp-to-Hire)

Full-Time | Temporary with Potential for Permanent Hire Our client in the Canonsburg area is seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to support their accounting team in a temporary capacity, with the potential to become a full-time employee. This role is ideal for an experienced AP professional who possesses strong analytical skills, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and has advanced Excel capabilities.

Responsibilities:

Process high-volume vendor invoices accurately and efficiently Perform invoice matching, coding, and data entry Reconcile vendor statements and research discrepancies Prepare and process check runs and electronic payments Assist with month-end accounts payable activities Maintain vendor records and ensure compliance with company policies Communicate with vendors and internal departments regarding payment inquiries Generate and analyze reports to support accounting and management needs

Requirements:

2+ years of Accounts Payable experience Advanced Microsoft Excel skills required, including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, and data analysis functions Experience working with ERP or accounting software Strong attention to detail and accuracy Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines Excellent problem-solving and communication skills Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred Robert Half is the world's first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
