Job Description

The Senior Accountant will work directly alongside a Partner/CPA, taking on meaningful work including tax preparation, bookkeeping, and client advisory responsibilities. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced accounting professional looking to grow within a collaborative firm environment. The position is open at either our Chambersburg, PA or Roanoke, VA office. The initial schedule will be on-site with a potential future hybrid schedule of three days in-office and two days remote. Key Responsibilities Prepare and review individual, business, partnership, and trust tax returns (federal and state) Manage full-cycle bookkeeping for assigned clients, including general ledger maintenance, reconciliations, and financial statement preparation Assist in the planning and preparation of quarterly and annual tax estimates Collaborate directly with a Partner level CPA to manage client relationships and deliverables Mentor and manage 1-2 junior-level accountants Identify and communicate tax planning opportunities and issues to clients and partners Maintain accurate and organized client files in compliance with firm standards Respond to client inquiries in a timely and professional manner Stay current with federal and state tax law changes Assist with special projects and other accounting matters as needed Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in public accounting Demonstrated tax preparation experience (individual and business returns) Solid bookkeeping and general ledger experience Working knowledge of accounting and tax software Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail Strong verbal and written communication skills Preferred Qualifications CPA license or active CPA candidate Familiarity with QuickBooks Online and cloud-based accounting platforms
Pay:
$78,000.00 - $105,000.00 per year
