SENIOR ACCOUNTANT
for our Corporate Office located in Ellwood City, PA.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Manage the monthly closing process, including preparing journal entries and reconciling general ledger accounts.
  • Perform monthly budget-to-actual analysis and explain significant variances.
  • Support the Controller in overseeing the company's accounting and financial-reporting functions.
  • Review accounts payable transactions and monitor delinquent accounts receivable.
  • Assist with budgeting, forecasting, cash-flow analysis, and other financial-planning activities.
  • Maintain and review cost-accounting records, including inventory, work in process, job costs, and manufacturing variances.
  • Help ensure compliance with applicable local, state, and federal accounting and reporting requirements.
  • Develop and maintain effective accounting procedures and internal controls.
  • Perform periodic internal reviews, evaluate findings, and recommend corrective actions.
  • Provide documentation and support for internal and external audits.
  • Assist with tax planning, tax filings, and other compliance-related matters.
  • Provide guidance, training, and support to accounting personnel.
  • Recommend process improvements to increase the accuracy and efficiency of the accounting department.
  • Prepare financial analyses and reports requested by management.
  • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
Job Requirements:
  • BS in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting required.
  • Minimum of 3 years relevant experience.
  • Strong computer skills with all MS Office products.
