The Staff Accountant is responsible for preparing and maintaining financial records to track the organization's assets, liabilities, profit and loss, tax liabilities and other related financial activities. Essential functions Prepare monthly bank account reconciliations; monitor and resolve bank issues. Administer accounts receivable. Assist with accounts payable processes. Prepare journal entries. Compile and analyze financial data and prepare related reports; prepare analysis of accounts as requested. Maintain intercompany transactions, billings, and reconciliations. Monthly filing of sales/use tax with various states. Monitor customer accounts for non-payment and delayed payment. Assist with preparation and coordination of the audit process. Competencies Proven experience of accounting in a manufacturing environment. Familiar with SAP or GP preferable, other ERP experience can be substituted. Excellent skills are required in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint). Demonstrated proficiency and experience in handling large volumes of data. Travel is minimal but may have to travel to other location. Required education and experience Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance required. Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in general accounting, preferably in a large manufacturing environment. Excellent communication skills.
