Senior Accountant Are you an accounting professional who enjoys understanding what the numbers are telling you-not just reporting them? ProFast is looking for a Senior Accountant to join our Finance team in Harrisburg. This role goes beyond traditional accounting responsibilities, with involvement in financial reporting, month-end close, cash management, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis. You'll work closely with our Director of Finance and company leadership to analyze results, identify trends, improve processes, and provide financial information that helps guide business decisions. Support the month-end close process, including reconciliations and accruals Prepare financial reporting and analyze results against budget, forecast, prior year, and actual performance Help develop and maintain annual budgets and forecasts Prepare financial metrics, trend analyses, and management reports Manage daily cash activity, bank accounts, and loan payments Monitor accounts receivable aging and collection activity Review and approve customer credit applications Participate in monthly business review meetings with company leadership Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, reporting, and financial systems You'll be successful if you: Want to understand why the numbers changed, not simply report that they did Enjoy analyzing financial information and identifying trends Take ownership and follow issues through to resolution Can translate financial information into meaningful insights for others Are comfortable balancing recurring accounting responsibilities with changing priorities and projects Look for ways to improve processes rather than accepting "that's how we've always done it" Can work independently while collaborating effectively with Finance and other departments Bring accuracy, sound judgment, and integrity to your work Our ideal candidate has: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field 3+ years of progressive accounting experience Strong knowledge of GAAP Experience with month-end close, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis Experience with ERP/accounting systems; NetSuite experience is a plus Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills About ProFast Since 1986, ProFast has been a second-generation, family-owned distributor of roofing and construction products serving customers throughout the Mid-Atlantic.
