Are you a hands-on accounting professional ready for the next step in your career? Our client is seeking a Senior Accountant who wants to expand their leadership responsibilities and develop into a future Controller. This role offers broad exposure to financial reporting, cost accounting, budgeting, audit support, and operational finance within a dynamic manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate is someone who enjoys rolling up their sleeves, partnering with operations, improving processes, and providing meaningful financial insights that drive business decisions. What You'll Do Prepare monthly financial statements and supporting analytical reports.
Perform month-end close activities, journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial analysis.
Support manufacturing operations through cost accounting and production variance analysis.
Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
Collaborate with leadership to provide actionable financial reporting and recommendations.
Support external audits and assist with year-end financial statement preparation.
Oversee sales and use tax compliance activities.
Monitor fixed assets, depreciation, and capital expenditure tracking. What We're Looking For Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
5+ years of progressive accounting experience.
Manufacturing and/or cost accounting experience preferred.
Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting.
Advanced Excel skills and experience working within an ERP system.
Excellent communication and business partnering skills.
Desire to take on increasing leadership responsibility and advance into a Controller position.
