Key Responsibilities Build trusting relationships with students and their families through effective communication and engaging therapeutic techniques, ensuring comfort and openness during discussions. Collaborate with behavioral health and primary care teams to provide integrated care, ensuring inclusion of all treatment team members to support students' mental health needs. Conduct essential screenings for mental health conditions such as depression, anxiety, and behavioral issues, and initiate referrals for more comprehensive evaluations when necessary. Manage a caseload of clients, offering follow-up interventions tailored to individual needs and ensuring continuity of care. Utilize electronic medical records to document encounters and track progress, completing all necessary documentation within 48 hours of patient interactions. Develop and implement integrated care plans that connect students with necessary services while keeping all relevant parties informed. Maintain patient confidentiality and privacy across all communications and documentation processes. Participate actively in supervision, case conferences, and quality improvement activities to enhance service delivery and outcomes. Facilitate referrals to psychiatric specialists as necessary to ensure comprehensive patient care. Respond promptly to inquiries from patients, families, and treatment providers, fostering an environment of support and accessibility. Actively identify and connect students to community resources that align with their individual goals, including educational, vocational, and self-help services. Patient Population / Client Focus This position focuses on serving school-aged children and adolescents, addressing the diverse mental health challenges faced by this population, including those from underserved and marginalized communities. As an LCSW, you will use a trauma-informed approach to provide empathetic support and guidance, promoting resilience and positive outcomes in the lives of young clients and their families. Qualifications Master's degree in a Behavioral Health field. Current and valid LCSW licensure. Certification in CPR or BLS. A minimum of three years of relevant experience in the behavioral health field, particularly in school settings or with youth. Demonstrated cultural competence and sensitivity, especially relating to underserved populations. Familiarity with trauma-informed care approaches and a social justice perspective. Preferred Experience Proficiency in understanding primary healthcare dynamics and working effectively within interdisciplinary teams. Experience in managing complex cases that require a multifaceted approach to care. Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is highly desirable to serve our diverse clientele effectively. Compensation and Benefits The successful candidate will receive a competitive salary ranging from
USD 90,000
to 100,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
