SENIOR ACCOUNTANT
Pittsburgh, PA (Eastern Suburbs) $70,000- $90,000 A well-established and growing organization in the industrial services industry is seeking a Senior Accountant to join its accounting team. This position plays a key role in maintaining accurate financial reporting, supporting month-end close, analyzing financial performance, and assisting with budgeting and audit activities. OVERVIEW OF THE SENIOR ACCOUNTANT ROLE
Reconcile equipment inventory and related general ledger accounts. Assist with reconciliation of parts inventory accounts. Review equipment purchase orders, machine estimates, and inventory receipts. Analyze divisional financial statements and equipment profitability. Prepare and review journal entries during the month-end close process. Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis. Prepare and maintain monthly balance sheet reconciliations. Support year-end financial audits by preparing schedules and compiling audit documentation. Create ad hoc financial reports and perform data analysis for leadership. Provide backup support for other accounting functions as needed. Perform additional accounting and financial analysis projects as assigned.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE SENIOR ACCOUNTANT
Bachelor's degree in Accounting required. 5-7 years of progressive accounting experience preferred. CPA designation is a plus. Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 is preferred. Experience using Power BI is preferred. Strong understanding of general ledger accounting and financial reporting. Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. EB-6263710758
