The ideal candidate will bring hands-on manufacturing cost accounting experience and a strong understanding of standard costing, inventory controls, variance analysis, and financial reporting.
ResponsibilitiesPartner with Operations leadership to analyze business performance, profitability, and cost drivers.
Maintain the standard cost system and perform product costing, margin analysis, and inventory valuation activities.
Manage inventory reconciliations, cycle counts, physical inventory support, and excess/obsolete reserve calculations.
Prepare monthly financial statements, balance sheet reconciliations, and supporting financial analyses.
Support internal and external audits while ensuring compliance with GAAP and internal control requirements.
Generate reporting and insights that support data-driven business decisions.
Identify trends, risks, and opportunities impacting operational and financial performance.
Support capital investment analysis and business case evaluations.
Collaborate with Operations, Engineering, Quality, Commercial, and Leadership teams to improve processes and drive business results.
QualificationsBachelor's degree in Accounting or relevant field of study5+ years of accounting experience with at least 3 years of direct cost accounting experience in a manufacturing environment.
Strong knowledge of GAAP, standard costing, inventory accounting, product costing, and financial analysis.
Experience with large ERP systems requiredAdvanced Excel and analytical skills with the ability to translate financial data into actionable business insights.
Strong understanding of manufacturing operations and profitability drivers.
Excellent communication, problem-solving, and relationship-building skills.
Ability to effectively partner with stakeholders across all levels of the organization.
High level of accountability, attention to detail, and commitment to accuracy.
