Accountant

We are looking for an experienced Accountant to join our team on a contract basis for a short-term project. This position focuses on reconciling HR accounts, managing invoices and statements, and ensuring accurate financial tracking over a defined period. Based in Macon, Georgia, this role offers the flexibility of remote work and will require a commitment of at least 30 days.

Responsibilities:

• Reconcile HR accounts to ensure accuracy and compliance, focusing on activity from December through March.
• Process and organize invoices and statements, sorting them by employee and department as needed.
• Manage three primary accounts and an expense account, ensuring proper categorization and handling.
• Address discrepancies in financial statements and resolve issues promptly.
• Utilize Silverlake software to perform accounting tasks efficiently and accurately.
• Prepare journal entries and maintain detailed records within the general ledger.
• Conduct bank reconciliations to align financial data with actual transactions.
• Collaborate with relevant teams to ensure smooth handling of accounts payable and receivable.
• Analyze financial data and generate reports to support decision-making processes.
• Assist in transitioning accounts to the appropriate department upon project completion.
