Part-Time Accountant / CPA (Small Construction Business)

About Us:

We are a growing small construction business looking for a knowledgeable and dependable accountant or CPA to support our financial processes. We need someone who can not only handle tax preparation and accounting tasks, but also help us better understand bookkeeping and financial basics so we can stay organized and efficient year-round.

What You'll Do:

• Prepare and file business taxes
• Manage and/or review bookkeeping (QuickBooks or similar)
• Reconcile bank and credit card accounts
• Provide guidance on proper expense categorization and financial best practices
• Teach basic bookkeeping and financial processes in a clear, practical way
• Occasionally meet in person for hands-on support and training
• Assist with financial reports and planning as needed

What We're Looking For:

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or equivalent experience
• Experience working with small businesses (construction industry a plus)
• Strong knowledge of bookkeeping and tax preparation
• Ability to explain financial concepts in a simple, easy-to-understand way
• Trustworthy, detail-oriented, and organized
• Comfortable with both remote work and occasional in-person meetings Nice to

Have:

• Experience with job costing and construction accounting
• Familiarity with QuickBooks or similar software
• Prior experience teaching or coaching clients
