LOCATION
Watertown, CT (Hybrid)
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
Work with Engineering Request Notices by updating and calculating prices and rolling costs Weekly management of cycle counts for all distribution centers (track and coordinate) Reconciling inventory perpetual to general ledger and reserve analysis Assist in the development of standard costs and bill of materials Assist operations in solving inventory issues as they arise Manage Construction In Progress, Fixed Assets, and depreciation reconciliation using Sage System Intercompany reconciliation (sales, production, expenses) Perform various month end closing activities including account analysis, preparation of journal entries, and monthly account reconciliations Provide weekly and monthly metrics around manufacturing variances, PPV, tariff, production variances, material usages, and other related measures to facilitate month end reporting Continuous improvement in processes and controls of inventory management Assist in the evaluation and improvement of internal controls and ensuring compliance with GAAP for the financial reporting process Support the annual operating plan processes Assist with ERP costing project - Overhaul current annual costing update process Additional ad hoc analysis or projects as requested Occasional travel may be required
POSITION REQUIREMENTS - EDUCATION, SKILLS, BACKGROUND, & EXPERIENCE B.S.
in Accounting or Business Administration 3-5 years of hands-on manufacturing accounting and financial reporting experience High level of proficiency in Excel spreadsheets, MS Office, and ERP systems required Proficient knowledge of US-GAAP desired Strong time management skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced work environment Attention to detail Strong written and verbal communication skills in English required Resilient and determined self-starter with ability to work independently Ability to garner collaborative relationships, professionally debate, and see things from different perspectives Exhibit an intellectual curiosity and learn quickly Operates in an honest, ethical manner in all dealings, acts with integrity We offer a competitive salary with base compensation and a comprehensive Health & Welfare benefits package including Medical, Dental, and Vision insurance.
