One Accountant I, $70,561- $82,805 annually One Accountant II, $79,282
- $93,040 annually These positions play a key role in supporting CIS' financial operations and contribute to the organization's commitment to exceptional service, stewardship, integrity, innovation, collaboration, and equity.
- Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.
- One (1) to three (3) years of accounting experience.
- Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP), spreadsheet applications, and accounting systems.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, Finance, or a related field.
- Three (3) or more years of accounting experience.
- Strong analytical, reconciliation, and customer service skills.
- Advanced proficiency with Excel and accounting systems.

Education, experience, and demonstrated abilities will be evaluated to determine the appropriate classification level (Accountant I or Accountant II) for which an applicant qualifies. Qualifications The Ideal Candidate Accountant I The ideal Accountant I candidate is an early-career accounting professional who is eager to learn and grow within a collaborative finance team. They are highly organized, detail-oriented, and take pride in producing accurate work.Successful candidates will:
Have foundational accounting knowledge and experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, or general ledger activities. Be proficient in Excel and comfortable learning new financial systems. Demonstrate strong customer service skills and professionalism when interacting with vendors and internal stakeholders. Possess excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities. Take initiative, ask questions, and actively seek opportunities to improve processes. Value teamwork, accountability, and continuous learning. Accountant II The ideal Accountant II candidate is a seasoned accounting professional who can work independently, manage complex accounting activities, and serve as a trusted resource to both internal and external customers.Successful candidates will:
Have experience managing accounts receivable, reconciliations, invoicing, collections, financial reporting, and month-end accounting processes. Demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify discrepancies and implement solutions. Be highly proficient in Excel and experienced with integrated accounting systems. Communicate complex financial information clearly and effectively to various audiences. Show a commitment to accuracy, accountability, and continuous process improvement. Thrive in a customer-focused environment and build positive working relationships across departments. Bring a proactive approach to identifying efficiencies and strengthening internal controls.Note:
