• Job Summary
• Join the Cash Compliance & Controls (C3) team and help drive financial accuracy across hundreds of operations.

As an Associate Accountant, you'll play a critical role in ensuring the integrity of credit card and banking transactions across Compass's expansive footprint. This role offers a fast-paced environment, direct impact to the financial statement, and exposure to both field operations and corporate leadership.

• Key Responsibilities
• Reconcile high-volume credit card and banking activities, ensuring accuracy and timely resolution of discrepancies.
• Ensure assigned balance sheet accounts are reviewed and reconciled monthly to ensure the balance is properly stated.
• Investigate recurring exceptions and trends to flag high-risk locations; collaborate with Loss Prevention on reporting.
• Prepare accurate journal entries and support month-end close.
• Process internal customer requests (audit, field, treasury and payroll) via Remedy, providing responsive, solution-oriented support.
• Create and maintain monthly and closing checklists for all operations.
• Partner with business owners to enforce compliance with financial controls and company policy.
• Identify inefficiencies and actively drive process improvements.
• Support special projects and ad hoc reporting as assigned.

• Required Qualifications:

• 4 year degree in Accounting or Finance
• Accounting internship experience and prior customer service background
• Strong customer service focus with excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel
• Ability to perform effectively under tight deadlines
• Quick learner who is self-motivated and able to work independently
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with associates, customers, and all levels of management
• SAP experience
• Positive, proactive attitude
• Demonstrated ability to take initiative (self-starter)
