Job Description

Keystone Human Services is seeking a Contract Accountant to support finance operations through financial reporting, budget preparation, funder reporting, grant and contract support, and collaboration with operational teams. This role helps ensure accurate financial information, compliance with funder requirements, and effective communication across departments. Job Details:
Full-time, Exempt position Hybrid schedule: Minimum of 2 days per week working out of the Hummelstown office and other regional offices as needed $63,000 per year, may increase based on experience
Responsibilities Include:
Support assigned grants and contracts throughout the full lifecycle, including budget preparation, compliance tracking, and financial reporting Analyze financial results by comparing actuals to budget, monitoring variances, identifying trends, and recommending appropriate actions Prepare annual budgets, funder reports, spend-down calculations, accruals, journal entries, and month-end reporting tasks Lead or support monthly financial statement review meetings and provide financial guidance to operational teams Maintain accurate records, documentation, and financial files while preserving confidentiality Support billing, revenue recognition, deposits, supplier invoice review, and other finance-related processes Collaborate with internal departments on financial processes, reporting needs, compliance requirements, and special projects
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business, or a related field and two years of related work experience or equivalent education and a minimum of eight years of related work experience may be considered Not-for-profit or government contracting experience is preferred Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing Ability to read, interpret, and apply written information Intermediate computer skills, including experience with software and web-based systems Proficiency with advanced financial spreadsheet functions Valid driver's license with daily access to a privately maintained and insured vehicle Successful completion of the pre-employment process, including clearances and verifications Keystone Human Services prohibits discrimination against qualified individuals based on their status as protected veterans or individuals with disabilities and prohibits discrimination against all individuals based on any category protected by applicable federal, state, or local law.
