We have grown from a single practice in 2012 to a 23 location group, and we are continuing to expand through de novo openings and partnerships. We are looking for a Controller to own the accounting function as we scale. Job Overview As Controller, you will own day to day accounting operations for a multi entity organization. This is a hands on role with real ownership. You will report to the COO, and partner closely with our Chief Administrative Officer, and work with outside tax advisors who handle all tax filings. Responsibilities Own the monthly close and deliver it by the tenth business day Reconcile collections for every location each payroll cycle and each month end across our practice management system, lockbox, card and financing processors, and bank Produce a standing monthly reporting package including location level P and L and consolidated results and financial packages for our partner dentists Lead the biweekly payroll cycle, including provider compensation calculated from executed agreements Administer our Sage Intacct across multiple entities Support entity level reporting for two joint venture partnerships and our Founding Partner Program Own AP, AR, and bank reconciliation Serve as accounting lead on our entity consolidation Provide workpapers and support to our outside CPA firm Build documentation and process so the function does not depend on any one person Supervise an AP and Payroll Specialist--a role we are currently hiring now Skills 5 or more years of accounting experience with at least 2 in a controller or assistant controller role Multi entity accounting experience required Strong general ledger and month end close ownership Payroll and payroll tax filing experience with a third party provider Sage Intacct experience strongly preferred. We are staying on Intacct and improving it Healthcare, dental, or multi site services experience preferred Comfort working without a large accounting staff and building process where no CPA preferred, not required What you get A written procedure and job description that exist before your first day. What Success looks like In your first 90 days, close is running on a predictable calendar and the monthly reporting package goes out without anyone asking for it. In your first year, the accounting function is documented, reliable, and scalable to 30 plus locations Compensation and Benefits $120,000 to $150,000 depending on experience.
