This position is designed for an accounting professional who has developed a solid foundation in accounting and tax and is ready to be mentored and developed into taking on increased responsibilities for client work, team support, and project management. In this role you will take the next step in your career with greater client exposure, project ownership, and leadership opportunities. You will provide accounting and tax services for clients across a variety of industries, including a strong concentration in real estate and property management, while taking greater ownership of client assignments and projects. The role will serve as a resource for associates, assisting with review work, helping resolve client and accounting questions, and working with senior team members to ensure projects are completed accurately, timely, and in compliance with best accounting practices.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage and process accounting transactions for multiple clients. Prepare complex individual and business tax returns and assist with other tax compliance and planning projects. Assist with year-end accounting cleanup, tax workpapers, and tax return preparation. Communicate directly with clients to obtain information, answer routine questions, and help resolve accounting and tax-related issues. Serve as a resource for associates by answering questions, providing guidance, and helping resolve technical or procedural issues. Perform supervisory or first-level review of accounting and tax work prepared by team associates. Take increased ownership of client projects, including coordinating information requests, monitoring deadlines, identifying outstanding items, and communicating project status. Work with senior team members to identify and resolve client accounting and tax issues. Assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end reporting and client-specific deliverables. Identify accounting discrepancies, incomplete information, and potential issues requiring additional research or escalation. Help ensure projects are completed accurately, efficiently, and in accordance with internal quality standards and client expectations. Ensure all work aligns with client expectations and internal quality standards. Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field required. CPA or CPA-eligible required. 2-4 years of public accounting and/or tax experience required. Demonstrated ability to independently complete accounting and tax assignments. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Familiarity with accounting software including QuickBooks Online/Desktop. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Outlook. Strong organizational, project management, and time management skills. Professional communication and client service mindset. Ability and willingness to assist and provide guidance to team associates.

Maintain confidentiality of client financial information. Communicate clearly, professionally, and timely with clients and team members. Demonstrate initiative, accountability and sound professional judgment. Provide helpful and constructive guidance to team associates. Recognize issues that require additional research or involvement from a senior team member and escalate them appropriately. Research accounting standards, tax code, and technical issues as needed. Develop the ability to analyze client scenarios and recommend potential solutions for consideration by senior team members. Proactively monitor project status, outstanding client information, and approaching deadlines. Adapt to the unique accounting, tax, and service needs of different clients.
