About the
Role:
We are seeking a meticulous, organized Junior Accountant to manage daily financial transactions, maintain the general ledger, and support our Finance Team. In the role you will handle accounting workflows across a dynamic portfolio of entities, including property management and hospitality operations. This is an excellent opportunity for a professional skilled in multi-company bookkeeping to take ownership of diverse accounting functions. This position will be fully in-office to start, and will transition to a hybrid schedule after a training period. This is a full time/flexible full time position ranging from 32 to 40 hours a week.
Core Responsibilities:
Accounts Payable & Receivable •
Vendor Management:
Process bills, track vendor payments, compile W9 information for subcontractors, and manage annual 1099 compliance. •
Revenue Tracking:
Process tenant invoices and track payments in property management software and cross reference data with our core financial software. •
Hospitality Accounting:
Record and audit daily sales reports for our hotel entities. Cash, Credit, & Intercompany Reconciliation •
Banking Operations:
Reconcile bank accounts regularly to verify cash flow for bills and payroll. •
Credit Card Management:
Maintain monthly allocation spreadsheets for credit card expenses distributed across multiple corporate entities. •
Intercompany Ledgers:
Maintain and balance intercompany spreadsheets, ensuring all transactions tie out seamlessly across all entities. Financial Reporting Support •
Month-End Close:
Assist the Chief Financial Officer with closing books and preparing financial statements.
Qualifications:
Experience:
2+ years of experience as a Bookkeeper, Accounts Payable/Receivable Clerk, or Junior Accountant (experience in real estate, property management, or hospitality is a major plus). •
Technical Skills:
Advanced proficiency in Enterprise Desktop accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks Enterprise) and online banking/credit card platforms. •
Software Competency:
Highly proficient in Microsoft Office, with intermediate Excel skills and comfort using Teams and Outlook. •
Core Principles:
Strong foundational understanding of GAAP, basic bookkeeping, and automated accounting workflows. •
Soft Skills:
High level of attention to detail, strong time-management skills, and the ability to work independently in a multi-entity environment.
Pay:
$65,000.00 - $72,000.00 per year
