Fenton, MO (Hybrid) Job Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented Junior Accountant to join the Finance team of a well-established, employee-owned engineering and manufacturing company serving the global power generation industry. In this role, you will support accurate financial reporting, project accounting, and day-to-day accounting operations while working closely with Project Financial Analysts and the Accounting team. Responsibilities Support Project Financial Analysts with accounts payable, customer invoicing, project financial reporting, and financial analysis. Perform account reconciliations and assist with month-end close activities, including journal entries and account analysis. Process payments, including checks, ACH transactions, and wire transfers, while maintaining compliance with internal controls. Learn project financial processes, reporting requirements, and accounting procedures through cross-training and hands-on project support. Assist with financial reporting and ensure accounting records are accurate and complete. Participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance accounting operations and reporting efficiency. Collaborate with accounting and project teams to meet deadlines and support business objectives. QualificationsRequired 1-3 years of accounting, finance, or related business experience. Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). Experience with account reconciliations and month-end close. Knowledge of Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR). Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office. Preferred Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field (or equivalent relevant experience). Experience with ERP/accounting systems, preferably Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central or similar. Familiarity with project accounting, financial reporting, and internal controls. Knowledge of sales tax, VAT, and other indirect tax concepts.
