• Remote RQ Construction is seeking a Payroll Accountant to join our Accounting/Finance team. This role owns the accuracy and integrity of our payroll accounting
• from posting payroll and reconciling accounts to making sure labor costs land correctly on our projects.

You'll work closely with our Accounting, Payroll, & HR teams and play a key role in keeping our financial reporting audit-ready. • 95,000 annually, depending on the candidate's primary home location and applicable geographic pay range. Medical, Dental, and Vision insurance 401(k) with company matching As part of this position, you will: Own the payroll accounting cycle in Oracle
• including posting to the general ledger weekly and monthly reconciliations of payroll, benefits, and Workers' Compensation accounts.

Maintain a high level of proficiency in the payroll and accounting software (Oracle Human Capital Management and Oracle Fusion ERP) and optimize their use to enhance internal processes and reporting. Prepare documentation for audits (Workers' Comp, OSHA, internal/external) and keep payroll records compliance-ready. Partner with Accounting, Payroll, and Operations departments to identify and resolve discrepancies and support budgeting and forecasting. Take initiative to identify areas of improvement and implement changes Requirements Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field required. Other education in conjunction with relevant experience may be considered. 2+ years of payroll and accounting experience. Experience working Oracle Human Capital Management and/or Oracle Fusion ERP required. Experience in construction accounting preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft office products. Strong attention to detail and comfort working with compliance-heavy, audit-facing work.
