We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to help with the day-to-day functions. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for reviewing journal entries, complex account reconciliations, ensuring revenue recognition under ASC 606 and Lease Accounting under ASC 842. This position offers an exciting opportunity to leverage your extensive accounting experience in a fast-paced environment with public experience Duties Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements, journal entries, and account reconciliations to ensure accuracy and adherence to GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles). Oversee accounts receivable functions, ensuring timely collections and accurate ledger postings. Conduct detailed analysis of financial data using Excel data analysis techniques, including formulas and VLOOKUP functions, to support reporting and decision-making. Perform month-end and year-end closing activities, including journal entries and account reconciliations for the general ledger. Collaborate with internal teams on audits, internal controls, and compliance efforts Support process improvements by automating manual tasks within accounting workflows using tools like Tipalti or NetSuite Handle confidential information with utmost discretion while ensuring adherence to financial policies and procedures. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA certification is preferred. Big 4/ public accounting experience is required Extensive experience in accounting roles within public accounting or corporate finance environments. Proficiency with financial software such as SAP, NetSuite, & Sage Strong understanding of GAAP standards and financial concepts including double-entry bookkeeping, debits & credits, and account reconciliation. Demonstrated expertise in Excel data analysis, including advanced formulas and functions like VLOOKUP. Experience with SOX compliance processes and internal controls implementation. Knowledge of accounts payable automation tools such as Paychex or SAP is highly desirable.
