Client Overview:
Our client, a retail company with an office in Deerfield Beach but headquarters in the Northeast, is looking to add a Senior Accountant to their Accounting department. Our client is well-established in the industry yet growing rapidly.
Salary/Hourly Rate:
$85k - $95k
Position Overview:
The Senior Accountant will play a key role in managing the day-to-day accounting operations and financial reporting for multiple entities. This Senior Accountant position involves close collaboration with investment and operations teams to ensure accuracy and compliance with GAAP and financial reporting. The role offers opportunities for professional growth and leadership within a dynamic and expanding retail company. The Senior Accountant candidate will work a hybrid schedule. The ideal candidate must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Responsibilities of the
Senior Accountant:
Work closely with the Finance and Operations teams daily to ensure accurate accounting records. Monitor all accounts and analyze related performance to support decision-making. Manage accounting processes and prepare/approve quarterly financial reports, compliance, and reporting. Ensure compliance with GAAP standards. Research and propose accounting guidance to facilitate discussions and conclusions with team members. Prepare analyses or responses to address requests from vendors, locations, and partners. Participate in special projects as needed. Required Experience/Skills for the
Senior Accountant:
Audit experience at a CPA firm or strong full-cycle accounting experience. Preferred Experience/Skills for the
Senior Accountant:
A minimum of 2 years of public audit experience is highly preferred. CPA designation is preferred. Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. Effective and self-motivated problem solver as the Senior Accountant. Positive attitude with a team-oriented mindset.
Education Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance is required. Continuing education in GAAP and investment accounting standards is a plus.
