Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant or Accounting Manager to manage client engagements across tax, audit, assurance, and advisory services. The role will oversee client relationships, mentor junior staff, and support financial and tax planning activities.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and review federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals and various business entities. Plan and manage audit, review, and compilation engagements in accordance with GAAP and GAAS. Prepare financial statements, workpapers, and supporting schedules. Conduct tax research and provide tax planning and advisory support. Support budgeting, forecasting, cash flow analysis, KPI reporting, and month/year-end close. Build and maintain strong client relationships. Mentor and review the work of junior accounting staff. Stay current with tax laws, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements. Assist with special projects and process improvements.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. 8+ years of public accounting experience. CPA license or actively pursuing CPA with meaningful progress toward the exam . Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, federal/state tax laws, and audit procedures. Experience with accounting/tax software such as QuickBooks, CCH Axcess, ProSystem fx, UltraTax, Lacerte, or similar. Strong Excel, communication, analytical, and organizational skills. Must be authorized to work in the U.S.; no sponsorship available.
Additional Requirements:
Must be comfortable working 100% onsite and traveling to client sites when needed. Must be client-facing with strong professional communication skills. Must be adaptable to new accounting technologies, software, and AI tools.
