$100,000 - $160,000 base + bonus + 401(k) match + comprehensive benefits James Search Group is partnering with a leading global Property & Casualty insurance carrier to hire a Senior Statutory Accountant , with flexibility to consider strong candidates at the Manager level . This is a high-impact role within a collaborative finance team, focused on statutory reporting, regulatory compliance, and process improvement. You'll work closely with actuarial and cross-functional partners while helping modernise and streamline statutory accounting processes.Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and review statutory financial reporting in line with NAIC and state regulations Support quarterly and annual filings, including Schedule P and related disclosures Partner with Actuarial on loss development analysis Perform reconciliations and investigate financial fluctuations Contribute to the preparation of statutory financial statements Lead process improvement and automation initiatives to enhance efficiency Support premium tax filings, assessments, and regulatory submissions Assist with audits, management reporting, and ad hoc projectsWhat We're Looking For:
5+ years of accounting experience within the P&C insurance industry Strong knowledge of statutory accounting principles and regulatory frameworks Experience with financial analysis, reconciliations, and reporting Advanced Excel skills; ability to work with large datasets Process improvement mindset with experience streamlining workflows Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities independently SQL, VBA, or Oracle Fusion experience is a plus This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-capitalised, growth-focused insurer offering long-term career progression, strong leadership, and a collaborative culture.
