Accounting Full Job Description Senior Accountant Location:

Denver (Cherry Creek)

Overview:

This position will be responsible for a variety of general ledger and month-end accounting activities, with a particular focus on cash activity, account reconciliations, and identifying and resolving discrepancies. This is an excellent opportunity for a senior accountant who enjoys digging into the details, researching issues, and improving the accuracy of financial information. The right person will be comfortable investigating historical activity, identifying inconsistencies, and working through accounts that may not always have an obvious answer. A Typical Day Includes.... Perform general ledger accounting activities, including preparing and posting journal entries Prepare and review balance sheet and general ledger account reconciliations Take an active role in cash account cleanup, reconciliation, and ongoing maintenance Research discrepancies and investigate unusual or unexplained account activity Assist with monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes Analyze account balances and financial activity to identify errors, inconsistencies, or necessary adjustments Maintain supporting schedules and documentation for assigned accounts Assist with accounting activities involving multiple currencies, as applicable Partner with other members of the accounting and finance team to resolve outstanding accounting issues. Support internal and external audit requests and provide supporting documentation as needed Assist with process improvements and help strengthen accounting procedures and controls Provide additional accounting support and analysis as needed

What You Need To Have:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required Minimum of 2 years of hands-on general ledger accounting experience required Strong account reconciliation experience, particularly involving cash and balance sheet accounts Previous audit experience is highly preferred Multi-currency accounting experience is preferred Must be able to successfully complete a background check and drug screening
