specializes in serving commercial construction contractors. We're seeking an experienced accountant who enjoys tax preparation, client accounting, and helping other accountants develop their skills. Client communication is central to this position. You'll work directly with clients and coordinate with a remote international team—gathering information, resolving questions, and keeping work moving. You'll work closely with the firm's owner, who assigns work and provides final review. What you'll do Prepare individual, partnership, C corporation, and S corporation income tax returns—Forms 1040, 1065, 1120, and 1120S. Complete monthly and quarterly client closes, including reconciliations, adjusting entries, and supporting schedules. Prepare and maintain construction work-in-progress (WIP) schedules, with training available. Communicate directly with clients to obtain information and resolve accounting and tax questions. Coordinate with a remote international team, including training staff and reviewing accounting and tax work. Prepare payroll and sales tax returns as needed. Identify technical issues and work with the firm's owner to resolve them. What we're looking for At least five years of public accounting experience; seven or more preferred. Ability to prepare the income tax return types listed above independently. Strong accounting fundamentals and experience taking client books through a completed close. Clear, professional communication and consistent follow-through with clients and colleagues. Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a remote international team. Helpful experience and credentials Enrolled Agent designation; a CPA license is not required. Complex tax return preparation. Construction accounting and WIP schedules. Consolidation accounting concepts. UltraTax and CaseWare. Training staff and reviewing their work. Compensation and benefits Annual salary of $85,000
