$50.00 - $63.00 per hour

Temp-to-Hire, Part-Time (20 hours/week)

Schedule:

Flexible between 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM Seeking a hands-on Accountant/Controller to join our dedicated finance team. This is a unique opportunity to step into a long-standing role within a multi-entity non-profit organization. Replacing a valued team member who is retiring, you will work alongside three other professionals, including the Director of Finance, in a supportive "family-style" environment where collaboration is at the heart of everything we do. The ideal candidate is someone who loves the details of bookkeeping but has the high-level perspective of a Controller. You must be comfortable toggling between complex union payroll and day-to-day QuickBooks management. ________________________________________ Key Responsibilities •

Full-Cycle Bookkeeping:

Manage the day-to-day financial records for multiple entities with accuracy and transparency. •

Complex Payroll Management:

Execute payroll for both union and non-union employees, ensuring strict compliance with varying regulations and contracts. •

Financial Oversight:

Support the Director of Finance in maintaining the general ledger, performing reconciliations, and preparing for audits. •

Multi-Entity Accounting:

Manage inter-company transactions and allocations across various non-profit branches. •

Tech Integration:

Utilize QuickBooks and Google Sheets extensively to track data, generate reports, and streamline workflows. •

Team Collaboration:

Embrace an "all hands on deck" philosophy, assisting team members during peak periods or special projects. ________________________________________ Qualifications & Skills •

Experience:

Proven experience as an Accountant or Controller, preferably within the non-profit sector. •

Technical Proficiency:

Mastery of QuickBooks and advanced Google Sheets skills (formulas, pivot tables, and data organization). •

Payroll Expertise:

Deep understanding of union and non-union payroll requirements. •

Hands-On Mindset:

You aren't afraid to roll up your sleeves; you enjoy doing the work as much as reviewing it. •

Communication:

Strong interpersonal skills to thrive in a "family-style" team environment. •

Local Presence:

While the role offers remote flexibility, you must be local to the 90043 area for required onsite collaboration.
