This position is ideal for someone who has a strong understanding of the accounting cycle and can confidently manage everything from day-to-day bookkeeping and reconciliations through the preparation and review of financial statements. We are a locally owned accounting and bookkeeping firm serving businesses throughout the Puget Sound region. Our clients represent a diverse range of industries and sizes, giving our team the opportunity to work with a variety of accounting situations. We are looking for an experienced professional who takes pride in accuracy, organization, client service, and getting the job done right. Qualifications 10-20 years of professional accounting experience At least 5 years of experience working with QuickBooks Desktop and QuickBooks Online , preferably with experience at the QuickBooks ProAdvisor level Minimum of 5 years of experience using Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook Strong knowledge of general accounting principles and the complete accounting cycle Excellent organizational and time-management abilities Demonstrated ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines Comfortable working independently while also contributing effectively as part of a team Reliable attendance and a consistent, professional approach to work Previous experience supervising, mentoring, or managing accounting professionals Strong attention to detail and the ability to identify and resolve discrepancies Key Responsibilities Manage accounting functions for a variety of business clients while maintaining a high level of professionalism and customer service Communicate with clients clearly, professionally, and promptly regarding accounting matters Oversee and assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable activities Enter, classify, and reconcile transactions, including bank and credit card activity Review financial records for accuracy and completeness Monitor cash flow and assist with cash management, budgeting, and operating projections Prepare and reconcile city and state excise tax filings, including both electronic and paper submissions when required Maintain business licenses, city endorsements, and related registrations Conduct internal reviews and reconciliations of balance sheet accounts Develop, update, and maintain Excel-based reports and accounting schedules Prepare annual 1099 filings and obtain W-9 documentation as necessary Provide support and coverage for other team members when needed Assist with staff oversight, workflow coordination, and training Maintain strict confidentiality when handling financial, business, employee, and other sensitive information Perform additional accounting and administrative duties as assigned

You should be comfortable working with multiple clients and deadlines while maintaining accuracy and excellent follow-through. This is an on-site position; remote work is not available .
