Senior Manager•Corporate Accounting Cincinnati, OH | Hybrid (4 in office / 1 remote)
Base Salary:
$130,000 to $160,000 + 15-25% Target Bonus (if you need more, just let me know)

the bonus actually pays out at the top of the range each year consistently PTO•5 weeks 401(k)•7% I'm partnering with a larger organization in Cincinnati on a search for a Senior Manager of Corporate Accounting. This is a great opportunity for an experienced accounting leader who enjoys owning complex accounting areas, leading a team, improving processes, and partnering across the business. The role sits within a large accounting and finance organization and carries real breadth, owning accounting for a range of corporate and headquarters functions. There is a lot of room to grow here, including the ability to move around internally and build a career across different areas of accounting and finance over time. The hiring manager is someone I have known for years and is truly fantastic. A strong leader, a great person, and someone who genuinely invests in his team. This role manages a team of approximately 3 to 4 people and plays a key part in corporate accounting, monthly and quarterly close, financial reporting, reconciliations, accounting policy, and process improvement. What You'll Do Lead and develop a team of accounting professionals Own the monthly and quarterly close for several key accounting areas, including goodwill, intangible assets, corporate operations, finance and information technology Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and quarterly reporting deliverables to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with accounting standards and internal controls Oversee monthly close activities and financial statement preparation Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal accounting policies Coordinate and support SOX compliance activities Serve as a key contact for internal and external audit requests Review and improve accounting processes, controls, and documentation Partner with internal finance, accounting, operations, and leadership teams Support accounting policy updates and the implementation of new accounting standards Drive process improvement, standardization, automation, and better use of technology Support ongoing integration work tied to a recent acquisition Manage special projects and help improve the scalability of the accounting function Provide coaching, feedback, training, and career development for team members Ideal Background Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field CPA, CFA, CMA, MAcc / MSA, MBA, or other advanced certification strongly preferred 7+ years of progressive accounting experience Prior team leadership or people management with 3+ years experience preferred Public accounting and/or large corporate accounting experience preferred Strong GAAP knowledge Month-end close, reconciliations, financial reporting, and accounting operations experience Experience with SOX compliance and supporting internal and external audit Comfort owning technical areas such as goodwill and intangible assets Strong Excel and systems aptitude Ability to communicate effectively with senior leaders and cross-functional teams Strong analytical, organizational, and follow-up skills A continuous improvement mindset Compensation and Benefits Base salary: $130,000 to $160,000 Target bonus: 15-25%•a bonus that actually pays out
