  • contract for approx. 3 months Seattle, WA
  • hybrid schedule, 2 days in office per week, 3 days remote (must have home office set up)

As a Senior Project Accountant, you'll own project setup, billing accuracy, financial reporting, and cross?functional collaboration that keeps projects on track and leaders informed. Responsibilities Manage full project accounting lifecycle: setup, contract entry, billing, cost allocation, and maintenance. Safeguard data integrity and ensure accurate cost coding across all projects. Analyze financial reports, identify variances, and partner with PMs to mitigate financial risk. Research and reconcile cost discrepancies; resolve issues with creativity and sound judgment. Support Principals and PMs with project phasing, contracts, billing, and reporting needs. Improve workflow efficiency and strengthen accounting processes. Educate and collaborate with architectural teams to enhance financial understanding. Provide strategic financial guidance during weekly/monthly project review meetings. Deliver data, reports, and insights for special financial initiatives. Contribute to continuous process improvement and maintain updated documentation. Qualifications 3+ years of project accounting and invoicing experience (AEC preferred). Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field, or equivalent experience. Strong Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook). High attention to detail with strong prioritization skills. Solid understanding of project accounting principles. Excellent communication and collaboration skills across technical and non?technical teams. Experience with Deltek ERP preferred.
