Senior Revenue Accountant

Description We are looking for an experienced Senior Revenue Accountant to support core accounting operations and ensure accurate financial reporting for a 100% remote role with a company headquartered in the Bay Area, California. This position plays a key role in managing close activities, maintaining ledger accuracy, and strengthening reconciliation processes across cash and balance sheet accounts. The ideal candidate brings strong technical accounting knowledge, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a deadline-driven environment.

Responsibilities:

+ Review project activations and contracts to ensure ASC 606 revenue compliance + Confirm alignment with company policies and approved budgets + Resolve review issues with sales leadership + Flag non-standard terms, discounts, and revenue-impacting items + Advise on revenue impact of contract terms; support legal and engagement teams + Review budget updates and validate contract change documentation + Ensure accurate percentage-of-completion revenue recognition + Partner with billing, legal, and operations to resolve lifecycle issues + Communicate accounting concepts clearly to stakeholders and leadership + Prepare concise summaries using revenue policy insights and trends + Maintain strong customer focus; escalate issues when needed + Improve revenue system processes and functionality + Collaborate with IT on system requirements and design + Test system updates to ensure accurate performance and reporting Requirements + Bachelor's degree in Accounting + 3+ years public accounting experience, public company audit work required + Experience reviewing contracts and financial terms under ASC 606 + Knowledge of GAAP, revenue recognition, and

SOX + CPA
