Senior Staff Accountant (GL)

Responsibilities What You'll Do Prepare journal entries and complete account reconciliations for month-end close Maintain accurate financial records in compliance with GAAP and internal policies Assist in preparing and distributing timely financial reports and statements including exposure to SEC filings Compile financial data from cross-functional teams to support monthly reporting Research and respond to general ledger inquiries Analyze variances and help document key drivers Support quarterly and annual audits by providing required documentation Assist with the annual budgeting process Contribute to special projects and process improvements How You'll Contribute Help ensure the accuracy and integrity of BJ's financial reporting Partner with teams across the business to gather insights and improve processes Take ownership of your work and proactively identify and resolve issues Balance multiple priorities while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment Support a collaborative, positive team culture by sharing knowledge and mentoring others Qualifications What You'll Bring Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field 3+ years of progressive accounting experience Strong understanding of GAAP; lease accounting (ASC 842) is a plus Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Office tools; Workday Financials experience a plus Experience in multi-unit or multi-entity environments preferred Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills Excellent attention to detail and accuracy Clear communication and strong interpersonal skills Ability to work independently, take initiative, and adapt to new challenges Salary Range USD $95,000 - $105,000 plus bonus eligibility and comprehensive benefits. This salary range reflects the anticipated compensation for this role. Final salary within the range will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, relevant experience, and other job-related qualifications.
