full-time Springborn Staffing is partnering with a well-established boutique CPA firm in the Greater Portland area to hire a Senior Tax Accountant. This is an opportunity to join a close-knit team that provides personalized tax services to individuals and small businesses throughout Maine. Compensation & Benefits Pay:
$70,000 - $80,000 annually, based on experience.
Bonus Opportunity:
Annual discretionary bonus.

Two weeks of guaranteed paid vacation annually, plus bank overtime worked during tax season and use it as paid time off throughout the year.

Professional Growth:
Direct access to firm leadership and opportunities to expand technical tax expertise. Schedule Full-time, permanent position. Monday through Friday, typically 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. Hybrid work arrangement available. What We're Looking For 3+ years of public accounting tax experience. Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field. Experience preparing federal and state tax returns for individuals (small business experience is a plus) Strong understanding of tax compliance and tax research. Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. Strong written and verbal communication abilities. Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment. Proficiency with tax preparation software and Microsoft Office. Preferred Qualifications CPA license or CPA candidate. Experience with CCH Axcess or similar tax software.
