Job Description

Overview We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Senior Tax Accountant to join our team. In this role, you will review monthly financials, handle tax notices, prepare and/or review tax returns, handle client research and communications, and other tax filings. This position offers an exciting opportunity for a seasoned professional to continue working in a very flexible work environment, while continuing to expand your work experience. Duties Prepare and review federal, state, and local tax returns, ensuring accuracy and compliance with current tax laws and regulations. Conduct detailed analysis of financial statements, balance sheet reconciliations, and general ledger accounting to support tax filings. Develop and implement strategies for tax reporting improvements using advanced accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, or similar platforms. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of tax law changes affecting corporate and individual taxation; interpret complex regulations for practical application. Manage client communication for all aspects of related work processes Experience Proven experience in public accounting or corporate tax departments with a strong background in tax return preparation and tax compliance. Extensive knowledge of federal and state tax law. Demonstrated expertise in technical accounting principles such as double entry bookkeeping, financial statement preparation, and account reconciliation. Hands-on experience using accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero or similar platforms for bookkeeping and financial reporting purposes. Excellent client communication skills combined with the ability to explain intricate tax issues clearly and confidently.
Pay:
From $75.00 per hour Expected hours: 5.0 - 35.0 per week
