Carnegie Mellon University's department of Finance is searching for a Sponsored Research Accountant to join their team. Core responsibilities include:

Perform a variety of accounting activities in accordance with accounting principles and standards to control the organization's financial resources and ensure that it complies with all relevant regulations, laws and reporting requirements Provide professional-level administrative and fiscal support within a post-award sponsored project accounting environment and be responsible for proactively managing the associated function Actively manage financial reporting deadlines in support of sponsored projects Leading a portfolio and taking actions, making decisions and resolving issues within the constraints established by federal, funding agency or other institutional policy or regulation Interpreting sponsor regulations and institutional policies and procedures Adaptability, excellence, and passion are vital qualities within Carnegie Mellon University. We are in search of a team member who can effectively interact with a varied population of internal and external partners at a high level of integrity. Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree required 3-5 years of accounting experience required A combination of education and relevant experience from which comparable knowledge is demonstrated may be considered.
