Fiorillo@RobertHalf A growing and well-established organization in the Greater Hartford area is looking to add a Staff Accountant to its corporate accounting team. This is a mostly remote opportunity offering strong exposure across the accounting function and the chance to partner with different areas of the business. The ideal candidate will have a few years of hands-on accounting experience and a strong foundation in general ledger accounting, month-end close, journal entries, and account reconciliations. Main Responsibilities

+ Assist with monthly and fiscal close activities, ensuring accurate and timely financial results

+ Prepare and post journal entries and complete monthly account reconciliations

+ Support general ledger accounting and financial reporting activities

+ Assist with banking, cash management, and funding processes

+ Support fixed asset and capital accounting

+ Prepare financial reports and perform account and data analysis

+ Assist with external audit requests and documentation

+ Identify opportunities to improve and streamline accounting processes Qualifications

+ Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related is required + 1-4+ years of relevant general ledger accounting experience

+ Hands-on experience with journal entries and account reconciliations

+ Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
