Camp Hill, PA About Hersha Hotels & Resorts Key Responsibilities Maintain the fixed asset subledger for multiple hotel properties and the corporate office, including recording additions, disposals, and transfers. Calculate and record monthly depreciation, and reconcile fixed asset balances to the general ledger. Manage property tax compliance, including tracking assessments and due dates, reviewing and processing tax bills, and supporting the appeals process as needed. Process vendor invoices and code them to the correct general ledger accounts, departments, and cost centers; process weekly payment runs. Prepare and post month-end journal entries, including accruals, prepaid amortization, and depreciation. Perform monthly balance sheet account reconciliations; research and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner. Assist in preparing monthly financial statements and reports, including variance analysis and supporting schedules. Support month-end and year-end close processes to ensure accurate and timely reporting. Maintain organized, audit-ready documentation and assist with gathering support for audit requests. Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and support special projects as assigned. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field. 0-2 years of accounting experience; recent graduates are encouraged to apply. Working knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and core accounting concepts, including debits, credits, and account reconciliations. Strong attention to detail and accuracy when handling financial data and deadlines. Excellent organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities. Clear written and verbal communication skills. A collaborative, can-do attitude and eagerness to learn and grow in an accounting career.
