Through diligent financial management, the Staff Accountant helps drive operational efficiency, compliance, and profitability, fostering a strong foundation for franchisee success and corporate expansion. Sport Clips is a growing franchise and has a need to grow its Finance department in order to keep up with the demand of transactions and analysis that it must provide to the company. This role requires working onsite in Georgetown, TX a minimum of 3 days per week.
Scope:
Your main responsibilities will include general ledger accounting, accounting for the company fiduciary funds, and providing support in the accounts receivable and treasury areas. Other duties include assisting with monthly close by completing journal entries, account reconciliations and other related tasks. Ad hoc projects will be assigned on an as-needed basis.
Key Criteria/Requirements:
Associates or Bachelor Degree in business, accounting or finance, or equitable experience Experience with accounting software, Great Plains a plus Understanding of GAAP and financial statements Excellent analytical, GL research and problem-solving skills Attention to detail and accuracy in financial data Ability to work independently and as part of a team Strong communication and interpersonal skills Time management skills and ability to meet deadlines Ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt to a changing, fast-paced environment. Advanced Excel skills (formulas, pivots, lookup) Experience with AI and PowerBI, a plus Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times Minimum of 3 days at the Support Center and 2 days working remotely Flexible work from home options available.
