Staff Accountant

Position Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented Part-Time Staff Accountant with 1-2 years of experience to support day-to-day accounting operations for multiple clients. This role is ideal for someone who is comfortable working in general ledger systems and enjoys handling reconciliations, financial reporting, and transactional accounting. Key Responsibilities Maintain and update general ledger activity for multiple client accounts Perform bank and credit card reconciliations Assist with month-end close processes Prepare and review journal entries Support financial statement preparation (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow) Process accounts payable and accounts receivable as needed Communicate with internal team members and clients regarding accounting matters Identify and resolve discrepancies in financial records Qualifications 1-2 years of accounting experience (public accounting or industry) Strong understanding of general ledger and core accounting principles Experience with accounting software such as: QuickBooks Restaurant365 (preferred) Xero or similar platforms Proficient in Microsoft Excel (basic to intermediate level) Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to manage multiple clients and deadlines Preferred (Not Required) Experience with restaurant or hospitality accounting Familiarity with inventory, COGS, or multi-location accounting Experience working in a CPA firm or outsourced accounting environment Schedule & Flexibility Approximately 25 hours per week (flexible within 20-30 hours) Flexible scheduling; some core weekday availability preferred Why Join Us Flexible part-time schedule Exposure to a variety of clients and industries (especially restaurants) Opportunity to grow within a CPA practice environment Collaborative and supportive team
