With decades of experience, NTVI offers services to the Federal Government and private industry, specializing in professional services, information technology, construction, facilities-related services, training, and support. Job Summary NTVI is seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our Accounting team in Chantilly, VA. This position is temp-to-hire reporting to the Controller. The Staff Accountant will play a key role in supporting the corporate accounting function with daily accounting operations, reviewing accounts payable, processing invoices, reconciling accounts, and maintaining accurate financial records. The ideal candidate is organized, has exceptional attention to detail with strong time management skills, and is proficient in accounting software. Key Responsibilities Review and process accounts payable transactions for accuracy and completeness. Reconcile general ledger activity, including bank statements, credit cards, and accounts receivable transactions. Review and process travel expense reports. Support month-end and year-end closing activities. Support with audits and compliance requirements. Maintain organized digital and physical financial records. Provide support with ad-hoc accounting tasks and reporting requests. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline or the equivalent experience 2+ years of experience in accounting field Knowledge of accounting principles and practices. Knowledge of Payroll taxes; experience processing state taxes and registration are a plus Proficiency in MS Excel & accounting software Experience with Costpoint's Accounts Payable highly preferred Experience working in government-contractor environment is a plus Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Excellent organizational and communication skills.
