Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and record journal entries to maintain accurate financial data across payroll and general ledger accounts.
- Reconcile account balances and investigate variances to support reliable monthly and periodic close activities.
- Manage payroll-related accounting tasks, including proper posting of payroll transactions and supporting payroll tax reporting requirements.
- Maintain and review general ledger activity to ensure transactions are classified correctly and align with company accounting standards.
- Use SAP ERP and Microsoft Excel to analyze financial information, track account activity, and produce supporting schedules.
- Partner with internal teams to gather documentation, resolve discrepancies, and improve the accuracy of accounting records.
- Support accounting operations tied to manufacturing plant activity by monitoring relevant financial entries and cost-related transactions.
