Description Lisa Cole with Robert Half is partnering with a well-established organization that is looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join a finance and accounting team . This role supports accurate financial reporting through day-to-day accounting activities, account analysis, and careful reconciliation of records. The ideal candidate brings strong general ledger knowledge, sound judgment, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a service-focused environment. This is a hybrid position with excellent benefits.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and record routine and non-routine journal entries to maintain accurate financial data across accounting periods.
• Reconcile bank statements and other balance sheet accounts, researching discrepancies and resolving issues in a timely manner.
• Support general ledger maintenance by reviewing transactions, validating coding, and helping ensure the integrity of financial records.
• Assist with month-end and year-end close activities, including account analysis, schedules, and documentation for reporting purposes.
• Monitor financial activity for accuracy and compliance with established accounting policies and internal controls.
• Partner with internal teams to gather supporting information, clarify transaction details, and improve the flow of accounting processes.
• Contribute to audits and other reviews by organizing records, preparing requested schedules, and responding to financial inquiries.

Requirements Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Accounting or related field.
• Experience preparing journal entries and maintaining accurate accounting documentation.
• Working knowledge of general ledger processes and standard accounting principles.
• Ability to complete bank reconciliations and investigate variances with attention to detail.
• Strong analytical and organizational skills with a high degree of accuracy.
• Proficiency with accounting systems and spreadsheet applications used for financial reporting.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills for collaboration across departments.
• Capacity to manage deadlines and prioritize responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
