Bradenton, FL Work Arrangement:
Hybrid Salary Range:
$60,000-$70,000 DOE Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to support core accounting functions including journal entries, account reconciliations, and monthly close activities. This role is ideal for a candidate with a strong foundation in U.S. GAAP, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. A CPA is preferred. Key Responsibilities Prepare journal entries with appropriate supporting documentation Perform account reconciliations using Blackline Support monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes Conduct account analysis and provide explanations for variances Adhere to internal and external reporting timelines, including SEC-related deadlines Document accounting processes and procedures within assigned areas Communicate effectively with management and internal/external auditors Collaborate with the Accounting team and cross-functional partners Identify and implement opportunities to improve accounting efficiency Serve as a subject matter expert for assigned accounting areas Support additional accounting projects as assigned Comply with company policies, procedures, and internal controls Qualifications Bachelor's degree with a concentration in Accounting (required) CPA preferred Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and internal controls Public accounting experience a plus Experience in a public company or SEC reporting environment preferred Advanced Microsoft Excel skills; ability to manipulate large data sets Experience in retail, restaurant, or multi-location organizations a plus Strong organizational skills with the ability to meet deadlines Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Pay Details:
