Job Description:
Jennie Joiner with The Forum Group PNW is partnering with a well-established, global organization in Eugene to identify a Staff Accountant II. This is a newly created position due to company growth and internal promotions, offering the opportunity to join a collaborative accounting team with excellent leadership, strong work-life balance, and outstanding long-term career growth. What You'll Do As the Staff Accountant II, you'll support the Accounting Manager and play a key role in the monthly close process, financial reporting, and maintaining accurate financial records. This position offers a blend of day-to-day accounting responsibilities and opportunities to improve processes while partnering with operations and finance leaders.
Responsibilities include:
Prepare and review journal entries and supporting documentation. Perform month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities. Prepare account reconciliations, financial analyses, and supporting schedules. Analyze balance sheet and income statement accounts. Maintain accounting for fixed assets, prepaid expenses, accruals, inventory, and related general ledger activity. Investigate and resolve accounting discrepancies and variances. Assist with audit preparation and provide supporting documentation. Support internal controls and ensure compliance with accounting policies and
U.S. GAAP.
Participate in ERP implementation activities and process improvements. Utilize advanced Excel skills to analyze financial data and create meaningful reports. Collaborate with Finance, Operations, and other departments to support business objectives. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting required. Minimum of four years of progressive accounting experience. Strong understanding of general ledger accounting, financial reporting, reconciliations, and month-end close. Experience with fixed assets and inventory accounting is highly preferred. Manufacturing, agriculture, or a related industry background is desired. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills. ERP experience required; NetSuite experience is a plus. CPA or CPA-track is welcomed but not required. Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills. Self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple priorities while working independently. Why You'll Love This Opportunity Newly created position with room for growth.
