Pay:

$38.00-$50.00 per hour, based on experience, credentials, and scope of work Overtime available during busy season | Bonus opportunities | Relocation bonus available At Feuerhelm Langer and Ruza we are looking for an experienced, client-focused tax professional who wants to join our team and grow with the firm. Schedule and hours Monday-Friday, January through April 15 (busy season) Monday-Thursday, April 16 through December 31 Paid overtime is available during busy season when extra hours are needed Hours drop after April 15 with the 4-day workweek What you will do Prepare individual and business income tax returns, including partnerships and corporations. Meet with clients to gather information, explain results, and support basic tax planning Handle monthly bookkeeping work as needed. Prepare and review monthly financial statements Build long-term working relationships with clients What you bring Required 5+ years preparing individual and business income tax returns (corporate, partnership, and individual) Working knowledge of tax compliance and tax accounting Experience with professional tax software; Lacerte experience is a plus Proficiency with QuickBooks Strong written and verbal communication, including clear remote and email communication Comfort working independently with light supervision Ability to manage competing deadlines and resolve issues efficiently Preferred Bachelor's degree in accounting or a closely related field Active CPA license, or currently pursuing CPA Enrolled Agent Direct Lacerte experience Compensation and benefits Hourly pay: $38.00-$50.00 Time-and-a-half overtime during busy season when extra hours are worked Performance bonus opportunities Relocation bonus for candidates moving to the Lake Elmo / East Metro area 401(k) with employer match Health insurance Paid time off Flexible schedule outside busy season, including a 4-day workweek most of the year Hybrid or remote flexibility after the initial in-office period Location Lake Elmo, MN 55042.
