Located in the heart of the Bluegrass state, East Kentucky Power Cooperative is a not-for-profit generation and transmission (G&T) electric utility with headquarters in Winchester, KY which is just a short distance from Lexington. Hybrid Remote Schedule This role has the option to be a blend of remote and onsite work if department and business needs allow and with approval from direct supervision. Our hybrid remote work schedule combines three (3) days on premises with up to two (2) days remote. Key Roles This position assists in the administration of the RUS loan portfolio, application for RUS loans, requests for RUS loan fund advances, capital construction funding activities, treasury reporting, investment support, forecast support, financial analysis and maintenance of same in corporate software. In addition, the position assists with internal and external audits. Key Responsibilities ¿ Administers monthly capital construction files and supporting documentation. ¿ Supports construction project closeout activities across Engineering & Construction, Accounting, and with external stakeholders. ¿ Maintains project financing records and monitors project funding to ensure expenditures remain within approved total cost limits. ¿ Processes loan advance and reimbursement requests including progress payments and completion of the required financing documentation. ¿ Assists in the completion of new RUS loan applications and completion of the due diligence work. ¿ Assists with data requests for annual E&Y audit and the three-year RUS field audit. ¿ Assists in the administration of EKPC¿s letter of credit portfolio. ¿ Supports investment accounting and reporting activities. ¿ Assists with compliance-related investment tracking and documentation. ¿ Provides data entry and reviews support for monthly accounting entries. ¿ Assists in the annual budget process. ¿ Understands cash/investment function and serves as a backup for processing cash transactions. ¿ Supports special projects and strategic treasury initiatives
Key Requirements Education:
¿ Bachelor¿s degree in related area required. An equivalent combination of education and experience may substitute.

Skills and Abilities:
¿ Proficient analytical skills, including statistical analysis. ¿ Knowledge of finance and accounting including financial statements, financial management and financial instruments. ¿ Knowledge of accounting methodologies, principles, and standards. ¿ Ability to assimilate information and take an original view. ¿ Strong oral, written, and listening communication skills. ¿ Strong customer focus for a broad range of customers. ¿ Effective interpersonal skills; ability to interact successfully with all levels of the organization including external contacts. ¿ Thorough organization and record keeping skills. ¿ Ability to prioritize work and manage projects. ¿ Ability to work independently and exercise discretion and judgment. ¿ Ability to work on tasks requiring great attention to details. ¿ Strong teamwork orientation. ¿ Thorough knowledge of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc. ¿ Must be available and capable to remotely initiate and complete banking transactions in the event of corporate system problems, failures and catastrophic incidents. ¿ Must work in accordance with financial institutions' and the Federal Reserve Holiday Schedules to ensure availability of cash as banking/cash management backup.
