Direct Job #30551 Tax Staff Accountant - CPA Firm $65K-$90K Base | Warwick, RI A well-established public accounting firm in Warwick, RI is seeking a Tax Staff Accountant to join its growing tax practice. This is a strong opportunity for someone with 1-3 years of public accounting tax experience who wants hands-on client exposure, strong mentorship, and long-term growth within a local CPA firm. The ideal candidate will have experience preparing tax returns for privately owned businesses, individuals, partnerships, corporations, trusts, estates, and high-net-worth clients.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare individual, corporate, partnership, trust, estate, gift, multi-state, and consolidated tax returns Assist with tax planning strategies for closely held businesses and individual clients Conduct federal and state tax research Support client communication, project tracking, and deadline management Work closely with senior team members and managers on tax compliance and advisory projects Build technical tax skills while gaining exposure to a variety of client industries

Qualifications:

1-3 years of public accounting tax experience Bachelor's degree in Accounting required CPA or CPA progress preferred Experience preparing individual, corporate, partnership, trust, estate, or gift tax returns Strong technical tax skills, research ability, and attention to detail CCH Axcess Tax, Document, Engagement experience is a plus Strong written and verbal communication skills This is a great fit for an early-career tax professional who wants to continue building technical skills, work with a strong client base, and grow within a respected local CPA firm.
